some people told me who have SMIII knives that the vg10 is not strong enough for hard use , it is prone to chipping .

who knows ? i do not have .

Yeah i heard the same...

I opted for (SMIII) as it has the stainless steel advantage over other generic kukri's
(Most of the time i am camping on the beach, salt-water & sand etc.)

After reading about chipping i don't think i will be deliberately be misusing it anyway.
